The ANU Solar car team was recently formed and has commenced construction of a solar assisted bike that will compete in the biennial World Solar Cycle Challenge to be held in September/October this year. The team comprises of 9 engineering students that will design, manufacture, test and race the bike.
We are currently seeking sponsorship to assist The Australian National University Solar Car Team to compete in the World Socar Cycle Challenge.
4th October We arrived back in Canberra yesterday so stay tuned as
we update this site with a massive amount of photos and a day-by-day event
journal!
23rd September RACE UPDATE: After an exhausting
2 day marathon drive
from Canberra, we finally made it yesterday to Ceduna. Today we competed
in the time trials and finished a remarkable 3rd out of 10 competing
teams. Tomorrow we start on the first leg of the competition, cycling to
Eliston, approximately 230kms in total. Catcya all next update!
