About this site

This site is designed to give information on my research project looking at different energy options for Norfolk Island. This is part of a PhD study, looking at energy options for remote islands. Lord Howe Island is the other case study.

Many studies have been conducted on technical aspects of supplying energy to Norfolk Island, but very few have looked at social and political factors. This study is about using social research to investigate the issues. There are two main parts to the study - face to face interviews, and a social network study.

This website is primairly designed for inhabitants of Norfolk Island to find out information about the study. It may also be of interest to other reasearchers in similar fields.
