Dr Jonghyuk
(Jon) Kim is currently a Lecturer in Department of Engnineering within College
of Engineering and Computer Science, Australian National University. His research focuses are on autonomous navigation in GPS-denied challenging environments such as forest, underwater, urban canyon or even Marsian

Dr. Kim is the recipient of the prestigious Charles Sharpe Beecher Prize and Award for the contributions to aerospace research. He is currently the General Co-Chair for ACRA (Australasian Conf for Robotics and Automation) which will be held in Canberra, 3-5 December 2008. |

- Applications are invited for a 3-year PhD Scholarship, $26,140 p.a. (tax exempt), for a project
- Simultaneous Localisaton and Image Fusion (SLIF) for robotic exploration
- Application deadline: 31st January 2009. The position is to commence in March 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter.
