FAQs

Where can I get course advice?

The program advisors, Haley Jones and Jon Kim, can provide general advice on the engineering program, including which courses to take and your enrolment pattern. They have weekly meeting times. Contact the student administrator, Ljiljana Argy, to make an appointment.

How many 1000-series courses can I take?

You can take only ten (60u). The engineering program contains 8 compulsory 1000-series courses, therefore you can take a maximum of 2 more as university electives. Recommendation: STAT1008 complements engineering.

Does the School of Engineering help students to find employers for ENGN3100 Practical Experience?

The onus is on the student to find an employer for practical experience. A list of past employers is available on the course webpage

What are the dealines for adding or dropping courses, or withdrawing from a course?

Deadlines for both semesters in 2009 are listed here in the SEAP guide.

The major requirements on Study@ have been changed since I started - what courses should I take?

The information on Study@ is only for new students. Continuing students should refer to the past Engineering Handbook.

I should like to graduate at the end of this semester, but I failed one required course for one of my majors. Unfortunately the failed course is not offered this year. Can I still get that major?

No.
